After several days of bad weather resulting from Hurricane Emma, which prevented any pre-competition training jumps, we awoke to blue, calm cloudless skies on Thursday March 6th.
The 7th World Cup and 4th European Championships in Para-Ski with 13 female and 53 male competitors got under way in Donnersbachwald, which is a small village in Styria, Austria.Two Giant Slalom runs were completed in the morning, allowing a lunch break before the accuracy started at 1300 hrs. Three rounds were completed in the afternoon, which meant that the minimum requirements for a valid competition had been achieved.Weather permitting, accuracy jumping will continue on Friday

All is prepared for the WorldCup and European Championships in PARA SKI 2008.
The athletes will arrive Wednesday, March 5th, latest in DONNERSBACHWALD.
The OPENING CEREMONY takes place on WEDNESDAY,March 5th 2008 18:30 hours in DONNERSBACHWALD, Talstation Riesneralm.
First Teamleaders-meeting takes place on Wednesday, March 5th 20:30 hours.
The competition starts on Thursday, March 6th, 08:30 hours.
